The Cause
As always, this event is 100% for charity; no money is awarded for gaming and your donation goes directly to the nonprofit CARE (bring a check written directly to CARE for a tax deduction). In our previous two charity events, you raised a combined $3,775 for the American Red Cross’ disaster relief efforts after the tragic Asian Tsunami and Hurricane Katrina. We ask that you bring a minimum of $15 to cash-in; suggested donation $30 per person.

Why CARE?
CARE tackles underlying causes of poverty in over 60 countries, empowering people to become self-sufficient. Recognizing that women and children suffer disproportionately from poverty, CARE places special emphasis on working with women to create permanent social change. CARE's community-based efforts improve education, prevent HIV, increase access to clean water and sanitation, expand economic opportunity and protect natural resources. CARE also delivers emergency aid to survivors of war and natural disasters, and is actively providing relief services to the victims of the Darfur genocide. CARE was awarded the highest rating by Charity Navigator, and are listed among their Top 10 Charities based on effectiveness and judicious use of funding.

Cleck to view google map. We're the long green house, left door. Park on Summer St (turn left by Pinky's Pizza) or Royall St. By T, take the Red Line to Davis Square, then the 96 bus towards Medford. Tell the driver to let you off on Main Street by the Dunkin' Donuts; we're right across the street.
